my tach is stuck....

whats up guys....i got some reverse gauges installed...when i turn my car off, the tach goes back to 0, when im driving it works....but when im idling its at like 2k...and i know for sure im not idling that high. when i put it in first gear and release the clutch slow, the tach goes down to about 1300....im just wondering if anyone knows how i can fix this....like i said it works when im driving but when im idling is the only time it doesnt work right

The gauge faces might be rubbing against the needle of the tach, preventing it from moving properly. If it worked before the gauge face install, and now it doesn't, that's most likely the culprit.

it probably wasnt calibrated the right way, when needles were taken off to put the gauges on they probably were put on a few hundred rpms over what the stock tach was at.

re-calibrate, or get a new one, if not then lower your idle

recaliberate. That's more than likely your issue.

he has a point... alot of ppl that that change guage faces and needles, they tend to not pay attention to where their needle was sitting at and what position they put it to when they install the needle again. Not saying that you did this or anything... just lookin out for my FD homie =)
