My speedo stopped working!!!

I was driving last night and all of sudden my mph drops to 0 and wont budge at all does any body have an i dea what this could be maybe a blown fuse or loose line or some thing thanks in advance ffor the help. Drew

mine did this a month or so ago.... unfortunately I don't know what to tell you to check. Mine started working again the next time I drove it. Not immediately when I started driving but midway through the drive it was working. I was boosting real hard both when it quit and when it started working again.... go figure

yank the instrument pannel and take it apart and start resoldering all the cold solders in back of the speedo. hopefully you can find the one which broke off quickly. if not, you might need to buy a new one off someone which is parting out a car here.

to buy new, it will run you approximatly 400-600 bucks...

Could be the speedo, OR it could be the sensor on the transmission. Check that first to see if there's any frayed wires or visible sensor damage. It's the gray cylindrical sensor on the side of the transmission.
