Not all base fd's have cloth seats, leather seats were optional. My car is a 93 base and it has the optional leather seats from the factory.

when the car was delivered to the dealership, the R1 lip was in the trunk, and the car had the "normal" lip on it.

it seems like there were fair number of dealerships who didn't put it on, particularly in snowy parts of the country.

edit: enjoy cruise on an R1, that's one of two things I wish mine had (the other being base seats, I don't care for the suede)

Ahhhh I see. Well it did come in handy on the long trip back after picking it up. I'll be sure to enjoy it some more once the rebuild is done... sigh.

And you also had a good point staticguitar313, but I don't know how to multi-quote ha

Did the Topic Creator ever figure out what he has??? haha

Quick question, do the r1/r2 have a different between them? or are they all the same?

IIRC correctly, R2s were 'softened' a little wrt suspension damping and swaybar thickness compared to the R1s. Also, no yellow R2s and no silver R1s. I think that's it.

I had cruise installed on my R2 for a while. It's very easy to do.

springs and shocks are a little softer, the strut tower bar looses the rod end.

yellow was replaced with silver.

there were a TON of little changes to the 94 cars in general, but that's all that was R package specific.
