My Rx-7 Rebuild Thread

some of you know that i bought a 93 mazda rx-7 TT for $1000. if you didn't know, well you do now. i bought this car off of a friend in monticello, which he bought it from someone, and its been repeatedly bought by people but not sure how many. anyways, the story behind the car is that the original owner cheated on his girlfriend and she found out and took a baseball bat to the outside of the car and a knife to the leather interior. good news is that it still has a clean title, bad news is that its going to be a lot of work but we finally started on it after it sat in our shop for almost a year. ill let the pictures explain what we have done/what we are doing to the car. any questions, feel free to ask.

also, ill be needing a lot of parts to finish this car but if anyone has a clutch/flywheel/pressure plate for sale, please let me know. i'm in great need of those parts as of now. thanks.

supracelica32,

Good luck on the project, good candidate for major body kit if you are into it.

If it this were mine I would drop a LSx motor in.

What wheels are those?

Wow.. THat is going to be a lot of work! I would at least do flared rear fenders since you had to strip the oem. There have been tons of the parts you stated for sale lately in the FS section. Go seasch and browse. Some great deals btw. Good luck w/ the project!

if i had the money, i would do both and keep the car but i do not. so im just fixing it to sell it and make a profit off of it.
