The rims turned out looking very good even if I am not a fan of black ones. Just be sure to keep your tires well polished. They look so dirty now near the black of your rims.

Thumbs up

this is a great little very easy AND cheap appearance mod. its just stock wheels, and yea u can get very good results if u do it right!

anyone who likes the looks should go for it! i got all the materials and enough paint to do 2 cars for just under 20 bucks!! its easy

just do it right. clean. sand 400. sand over 800. make sure u got everywhere good! all the nooks! clean again. couple coats of paint, i used gloss black did 3 coats. clear did 3 coats. mine are super freakin shiny!

one tip. my car has stone chips everywhere. front wheels too. that sucks for paint. reason being the wheel coating in chips stays and the paint doesnt stick. on big chips it will look like ****!! small chips with enough coats go away.
just take your time, i never even notice how chipped they were till after i painted.

also i didnt use any special wheel coating. they didnt have black. i used engine paint, hahaha, and it worked great! i felt like a ricer but it came out good. just my .02 on this subject.
