Wish I had the cajones to paint my wheels black(mines mbm). Will consider it. Prepare to be emulated.

edit: Also wondering about gloss vs flat finish

i like how you were too lazy to mask off your tires. i feel the same way. note lack of grammar.

Did you even mask off the tires before painting?

I wouldn't even worry about getting paint on the tires, especially if you use a tire shine product every now and then (I'm sure everyone does). It'll come right off with some soap and water, barely have to scrub it.

Looks good.

When i bought my FD the owner had painted the rims flat black with a rattle can. Looked good for for a little while, but then started to chip or flake off...especially when you get new tires mounted. You can expect it to look good for a year or so, but i wound up getting mine powder coated with 40% gloss. Looks much better, IMO, and it was MUCH cheaper than new wheels.

Cheers!
