Clutch Cover Type: PULL
Clamp Load (lb): 2655
Disc O. D. (mm): 225
Spline Teeth / Major Dia (mm): 23T / 26.4
Standard Clutch Kit Part Number: KMZ01
Fits:
1993-95 Mazda RX-7 1.3L 13BT Turbo, FD3S

The EXEDY Hyper Single Clutch has high torque capacity and a special lightweight design to reduce the clutch disc inertia.

The Hyper Single Clutch is engineered to optimize performance for cars that are moderately modified, but do not require the clutch capacity of a multi-plate clutch. Similar to our multi-plate clutches, it has a forged aluminum cover that is anodized purple. The aluminum cover is stiffer than a stamped cover and therefore allows a higher lever ratio to maintain the pedal efforts at a reasonable level.

Now that I'm done with the copy and paste, it is going for $999 right now before shipping cost. Doesn't cost much to ship. It's about another $25 to ship it. It is a beautiful clutch. I got it from Jason at RX7store.net. You can't get it anywhere else for that price. I can almost guarantee it. From when I searched, Jason was the cheapest.

-Jeff

Duh! Kragen, Auto Zone, or Napa! Any of those will do. I also hear Ford Racing carries them too!

clutch/flywheel. I don't think it's too bad for what it is. It's like a crazy ACT clutch, but it drives a little easier.

how do these drive on the street? i was thinking of switching to a 6 puck sprung ( i HAD an ACT unsprung and it was a PITA) but if this is gonna be a smoother engagement then it might be worth the extra money. anyone currently using one of these?

Well, RX7store sells this clutch for $999 which is actually a whole lot cheaper than any other internet store. I wouldn't even want to know how much it cost in a retail store. Remember, this is a clutch and flywheel set up. For Example, buying a ACT S/S and Prolite flywheel, is about $800. I remember Howard Coleman talking about how he had talked with a few techs at ACT, and the clutches they sell are not actually meant for the street. This Exedy clutch was built to handle up to 400RWHP, and still be suitable on the street. So, can you say easy engagement without killing your tranny?

Does look good. I wonder if it would hold up well with 400whp in track applications. Maybe I should just stick to ACT.. hmm..

Man, Ramy you are a hard man to get a hold of! I email you sometimes, about getting stuff, but you havent replied. Should I just post a thread in your vendor section instead? Or is the best way through email? Or PMs?

You know what? I'm going to find out too. I know the kit doesn't come with throwout or pilot bearing.

Email is the best way to get ahold of me. I typically reply to emails twice a week, but every now and then, I have to put everything on hold for a few days while studying for exams (like right now). I have a STACK of emails I'll be getting back to between Monday and Wednesday.

~Ramy

PS: PLEASE PLEASE don't email me about the PM about the email that I haven't gotten back to yet. I SWEAR I'll get back to ya soon enough lol. The emails don't magically disappear from the inbox

About the counter weight......The answer is......Yes, you do need a counter weight. I just purchased one, and a bearing kit from rx7.com. They have a kit that has throw out and pilot bearing w/seal for a good price.
