My new FD3S (Pics Inside)

Well, I ran into a fantastic deal I couldnt pass up. Ill give a little background info on the story. So ive been helping my friend with his car for a couple weeks now since his FD has had a boost problem. Im positive its one of the many vacuum lines under the manifold but I havent had time to take off the manifold for him. I get a call Tuesday that he wants to sell it and if I know anyone who wants a FD. So I ask him how much he wants and get this....he tells me 4000 dollars. I ask him one more time to make sure I wasnt an idiot and yep, 4K is what he wanted. So I go to the bank immediately and am the proud new owner of a 1993 Silver Stone Metallic Clearcoat FD. The car has 89,000 original miles. It has a couple imperfections that I will fix immediately. The front drivers side fender is dented pretty good, rust is appearing on the hatch around the glass and the front bumper doesnt fit well at all. The paint on the bumper does not match up either. Well enough ranting, heres a couple pics I took the first day I drove her. Ill get some more better ones later. Sorry for the crappy pics.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Ive had my Turbo II for over 3 years now and got everything on it the way I wanted with 380rwhp. Just recently the motor blew and im undecided on what to do but I know this FD will stay in my future. I might just swap everything over (turbo wise) and send the FC to the junker.

bumper

Great steal there for a great car! Congrats!
I just recently upgraded my front bumper to the 99 spec and I don't need the '93 one anymore. It's the silverstone color and it's in great shape. PM me if you're interested. Plus I noticed you don't have the front blinkers also. I have all the parts needed for the front 93 bumper if the same color.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words. Actually I found out the bumper is fine but I need the metal bracket that bolts from the front bumper to the chassis for it match up perfect. That piece was missing so thats the reason the bumper sags. Tomorrow im gonna go give her a good washing and vacuuming and I will update with a few new pics.

Well, the interior passenger side armrest is ripped off, front bumper doesnt have the metal bracket to hold it to the chassis, boost problem, front drivers side fender is dented and small rust bubbling on the hatch. I think thats about it. I plan to keep it stock twins with minimum upgrades until I can get money scrounged together for a rebuild. Then the HKS T04E will go on.

Thanks! I think the first and actually most important mod I will be doing is Power FC sometime. I have a Haltech E11 in the FC currently and dependant on what happens with that I might use that.
