Is my motor blown?

Alright so, I get home and I let the engine run for a couple minutes to cool down and then shut off the engine run inside grab a few things and come back out to leave again I start up my FD and I get a bad response. The car turns over and starts fine but once started putters and runs really rough and eventually dies. If I give it some gas it'll stay alive but like I said it runs ROUGH and it's idles jumps pretty bad and then dies once I let off the gas. I think there is also black smoke coming out from the exhaust. I hope this thing isn't dead because it's only got 8k miles on the engine

Check your map sensor, the problems you are describing fit the symptoms of the vacuum hose falling off of it.

It's located next to the UIM on the driver's side of the firewall.

good luck

black smoke = unburnt fuel = ignition problem. i hope thats your problem if its not a map sensor hose.

Maybe a leaky fuel injector? Motors usually don't blow in the driveway

I won't flame for not knowing where the plugs go but you can go Fromm the top kinda under the elbow, or go from under in the same area.

back again with more problems

alright so I changed the spark plugs out on the FD and she ran fine for a little while until today when she started having the same problems, like before, the idle bounces and black smoke is coming out from the exhaust you can clearly smell unburnt fuel in the smoke
i dont know exactly what the problem is I checked the MAP sensor and replaced plugs but it still bogs out when driving and runs really rough

here is some recording of the engine, you will hear it jump in idle v001.wav - 0.46MB
does anyone know so far what it could be?

have you tried swapping MAP sensors?? could also be a leaking injector, or if you are still running the stock fuel rails it could be a bad O-ring. when you changed you plugs did you change the wires as well??
