my ignition setup(questions on install)

heres the deal-yo. I peiced together an ignition setup for my 93 fd. I bought a Jacobs FC1000, along with a turbo 2 coil (came with an ignitior on it), and some jacobs plug wires. I have no clue where to mount the jacobs unit, and wasnt sure if i should use the stock FD ignitior, or the ignition thats on the FC coil. any help would be greatful, i am a little hazy on how this is going to set up.

You should eliminate the T11 ignitor and use the coils only , the + and - wires that go to the coil now should be connected to the trigger wires on the ignition amp , and the output wires from the amp conected to the coil.

I mounted the box where the cruise controle is. And made a brackett for my fc coil and mounted it on the fuse box nut. As far as the wireing goes this link is very helpfull. (even though it is for an FC).

I think so. Why not just mount it as suggested? my jacobs pro pack (same size as fc1000) fits in that spot perfectly (rear driver's corner near ignitor).

Also, check your PMs.

true r1 doesnt have cruise. mount it where it is on base models in the empty space near the master cyclinder. i took off my cruise for that spot.

thats what im trying to tell you. locate the coils and jacobs box to the empty area near the master cyclinder behind the driver's side strut tower.

If you have a sleek headlight kit do what I did and mount it below the passenger side light housing. Plenty of room, it stays cool, and the wires will still be short (especially the power).

Once you take out the headlight housing you'll see there are many place to route the power and ground, then I just ran the coil wires along the driver's side fender (Oh I forgot I also relocated my coil to where the cruise control used to be).

definetly do the relocation, unclutters things and really improves the longevity of whatever coils you use.
