Continuing that, I'd advise to replace the spark plugs and spark plug wires and do general maintenance like fuel filter, replace fluids and such. With only 30k miles, it hasn't been used very much so I'd expect the vacuum system to be OK.
I will do that then I had them in the list of things to do already, but had not got around to do it yet. One of the FAQs had a nice list of "Stuff you should do when you have bought an RX7" and i will go through that list and clean her up.

Haha yes that is true, but its also more fun to do maintenance that is also an upgrade, like going from stock to Magnecor plug cables

Do not take people's advice lightly w/o thinking through and getting other opinions. Knowledgeable people on this forum that have been around a long time don't often respond to questions where the answers are already answered in the FAQs while less experienced will often respond with "try xyz" - sometimes correctly; sometimes not.
Thanks for the help!

Yeah, i have been reading the FAQ from time to time and it is full of good information. Its just hard to take it all in at once. I ahve been trying to use the search function but im having some problems there due to not beeing a native english speaker

I can imagine. I understand a couple of languages but I couldn't imagine trying to decipher them to troubleshoot complex topics and learn from.

re-reading the threads, looking at pics of various processes and search helps. I did that for many, many years. Still do.

Good luck.

We do have a very good english education in school, and we start learning english early, before we turn 10 years orld i think. The only movies that are dubbed to norwegian are for small kids, and english is a very widely used and understood language in norway.

Problem is, i dont have the right technical terms for car related stuff in school, so that is all self taught. Its not a huge problem when reading, but when trying to search i tend to not use the rgiht synonymes for things, and a "vaccume hose" vs "Vaccum line" vs "Vaccum tube" can cause problems. What i would call a "RPM gauge" would probably be refered to as "tachometer" in most cases, and then hard to find info on

And sometimes i know that i need [item with english name] and the problem is to figure out what its called in norwegian

I do, and will continue to do that. I have owned my 626 for 10 years now, and i just recently reached the level where i can say that i know my way around the Mazda KL engine and GE platform forums.
