doesn't that level of mods require boost control of some sort? with just k&n stock replacement, dp, and catback i saw 14lbs spikes.

anyway you'll definitely notice a nice 'seat of the pants' difference. especially if the cats were clogged.

yes, but the HKS does have some sort of coating like one krazyguy said. I have had mine for well over a year. no rust whatsover. However, my mild steel midpipe is rusted to ****, and that has only been on half as long.

OneKrazyGuy, geta computer, intercooler and you will push over 300rwhp. As for your current set-up, wath out for boost creep and or spikes. You really shoudl get a computer for your car, and a real intake.

HKS downpipe (Mild steel)
Rx7fashion High Flow CAT
HKS Cat Back
Stock Airbox Mod (Removed the plastic from infront of radiator, removed the foam from the engine compartment and cut a 3 X 6 inch hole on bottom of airbox)

I am seeing 1 lb of boost at higher speed from the airbox modification, btw.

These are my first mods, basically I did them because I have 142K on my car (15K on the engine) the precat, cat and catback are original and clogged, rusted, etc.
Yeah, definitely be careful. Make sure your boost controller works - keep it at 10 psi until you get a PowerFC or similar. BTW, where are you going to get it dyno-ed?

Also, Damn you for getting ahead of me in mods....
On the plus side, we're almost done with the work on our new house and about moved in. Then I can start sneaking the mods on.....I plan on getting a PowerFC this summer to go along with my RB cat-back and probably rx7fashion intake. Good luck with your car.

i hate it when people tell you to search..if you have 3 posts or something then it a different story as you may not know there is a search function.
Why are you taking the time to post, "search" when you could spend another 15 second and provide some insight or personal experience. Just trying to **** the person off?

i have the racing beat cat-back installed, and it's only slightly more "aggressive" than stock (not ricey at all), and the stock-on-steriods look is awesome

the sales person is most likely just trying to move more inventory

I purchased a 93 Base Model with 49K miles on it and no mods. Now I have 122K with a rebuild @ 114K (that's when my clutch went out so I thought it was a good time to rebuild). My mods are listed below in my signature.

Currently, my boost is hangin in at 12-10-12 with no boost control and no ECU upgrade! I have a slight hesitation sometimes when I goose it in 2nd gear, but it's nothing more than a stutter. I DO RECOMMEND that you install three things.....
1) AST (Aluminum Air Separator Tank) to replace the plastic one that will eventually crack and drop all your fluid, causing the engine to overheat.
2) Boost Gauge....You cannot fix what you don't know...a boost guage will help you diagnose your turbos when they get cocky.
3) Turbo Timer....It's not fun to sit around while your engine idles for 10 minutes and your running late for something. The Timer allows the engine to idle and cool down your turbos.....or you could be replacing them!

Good Luck on your mods.....and just where is a pix of your RX7?

Thanks guys for not closing this thread. The RX7 Im about to get has these folowing mods
downpipe, intake, exhaust, boost gauge, temp gauge, K&N, Greddy Front mount intercooler (not installed yet)
Anyway, the only mod i dont have that OneKrazyGuy has is the midpipe. I see someone said he could possibly get 300rwhp from those mods. If thats the case, I should be able to get that much too, right?
ANyway, that ROCKS. Am i correct in my thinking, or am i dreaming that i will make as much power as OneKrazy should make?

with your proposed setup and boost set at 11-12 psi, I'd say you'll probly hit around 250 - 260 rwhp
