My first real twisty!
Well, it's been about 6 weeks since I bought my stock 93 Touring. Between me being busy and the car being in the shop, I haven't had a lot of time to really give it a run. So, yesterday I took a local canyon road that's got a good mix of twists, turns, short straights and some elevation change to boot. Oh, and there's hardly any traffic.
Even though I was mostly just 'cruising' to get a feel for the car, I reeled in a Z3 and some guy on a Harley like they were standing still. Even though neither of 'em would have been much competition, I was looking forward to a little Ronin. Much to my disappointment, no one wanted any so they all pulled over. I made sure they knew they made the right decision as I down-shifted and ripped by 'em. Let's just say one short straight allowed me to see just how quickly you can get to 120... and back again. Smooth as butter.
On the hairpins I noticed how much the pillar can get in the way when you're trying to see what's up ahead (rocks or motorcycles). It's probably no worse than any other sports car, but it does require some getting used to. I don't think I'll be placing any guages up there
I've now had a first-hand taste of the world class handling and speed that I've heard and read so much about. I'm afraid it might be addicting.

I lvoe it, the handling of these cars is amazing, it is so nimble. My favorite thing to do is take 90deg. right turns on streets at excess speeds, scares the **** out of the people waiting at the light from road you are turning on to. lol. I have 2 of 4 RB spings on my car (my latest prject) I hope they will make it even better.

look before you leap
rocks and debri can be pretty scary but usually what gets you is some dirt or sand run off and if you want to continue to go 120 on public roads scan first for the five O as well cause at that speed don't stop and if they get your license is suspended.
Is so addicting I just got a back up fd for when one needs some repairs. I love flooring 3rd gear on a country road with a very mild s turn and feeling just slightest bit of lift as you scoot over the uneven sections
damn thats a rush.
