It sounds like f*'ing crickets. Its driving me nuts, and its ruining my style. Anybody else ever have this problem?

 

We all have these noises. I tell everyone they are from my "weight reduction" and all of my friends are impressed. Not really.

Any chance you can elaborate on the sound? Is it from the engine, suspension, brakes, etc? Does it happen when accel, decel, driving slow, or on highway, only while turning, or when going straight?

I can't really be too much help without more info... and even then I'll probably tell you to go get some Raid and kill those crickets.

 

I have a bunch of links bookmarked on various noises. Crickets sound to me like a creaky hatch. Is it from the front or the back of the car?

 

for me it came from my rusty *** exhaust system
someone else located it to the wastegate actuator or something

 

Might be your cat going South. Mine made a ricktey sound like marbles were inside my exhaust at an idle and if I reved it real quick it would make that horrible noise. I gutted my cat and it went away. This was my experience.
