I think those sideskirts look good. I think they would look even better with a racing beat front chin spoiler or something similar. rear mud gaurds or rear diffuser would look good too. Nice car btw, looks blingin'.

I gave up on all that stuff and had a body shop color sand my car. This actually fixes the problem rather than being a band-aid.
For those of us that don't know dick about body work (me), what is color sanding, how much, and how well does it work?

The paint is wet sanded with several grades of ultra, ultra fine sand paper and then polished. All the scratches and swirl marks in the clear coat are literally sanded out (except for the worst ones anyway). This leaves the clear coat smooth as glass. Big transformation if you have original paint.

For certain you can also royally screw up the paint if the clear coat is sanded through or made too thin. I don't know the cost as mine was lumped in with other work. I imagine a couple to a few hundred bucks? Call any body shop and ask.

When I got my car (blacK) it had a lot of swirls on it on the original paint. All i gotta say is that meguiar's scratch x and a coat of mother's syn wax works wonders... even after a couple washings

Really? I had some problems with the scratch x, was really dissapointed with it. I also read alot of reviews that were unhappy with it. For swirls and what not, nothing is better than a good polish and wax.

Remember polish needs to be followed up with a protective wax.

i have the swirls too (only seen under direct sunlight) but using a combo of zymol and mothers carnuba wax, i say the swirls were reduced by like 70-80% max..it really makes a difference than just washing your car OR not using any wax/polish for like a month or 2 (going through washes)..

im going to try my last hope (3M swirl remover) even though next spring im DEF planning on getting my body repainted since im going 99 spec front anyway..i just like the paint to look good just in case there is a change of plans..

btw. polishing and AIO was done with Lake Country Cutting pads, durastand pads, and polishing pad for AIO on the Porter Cable 7424. IMO ~ 90% of swirls (deep-ish ones can be removed if you know what your doing) can be removed by light polsihing with PoorBOys SSR line, Menzerna, etc which takes away only a tiny tiny tiny bit of clearcoat. so little you wont even notice it at all. but if you get the powerful Makita rotary polisher. omg..that thing could eliminate 98%+ percent of swirls including the deepest, but it can cause paint buring if you dont know how to work it. here are the pics. (sorry for thread jack )
