My DP install
My DP install
Tried to install my pettit DP for the 2nd weekend in a row. Having some fitment issues w/ the stud they sent me. I cant seem to get the nut around the lower left stud b/c the stud wont sync into the turbo. Almost feels like the threading is different.
Would it be too difficult to tap new threads in that hole?
Any advice? I want to finish this up tomorrow.

It seems odd to me that they would send you new studs, does Pettit always do this? I've never heard of it.
Anyway, why not re-use the old stud, it came out so you know it can go in that hole.

You wont be able to tap that hole in cast iron very easily Steveareno.
You always make sure that the bolts all fit before you install the part.
In anycase i know that the bolt threads up but you just have to get it in straight. Your trying to get in the bolt that is almost covered over by the pipe correct?
Would be the bottom left one.
Its juts tricky to line up. Should try to thred it is first before you even put the other bolts in. Tackle the tricky ones first
If you use the original stud with a nut on the end it would be much easier. You can get the stud & nut from Malloy down in Woodbridge for around $2.00 See you next weekend

Dave - tried using the stud w/ the original nut but the nut itself wouldnt fit around the pipe - meaning i couldnt get the thing to tap correctly b/c the nut would rub against the pipe while trying to align it -
ah well, is 39 degrees and im off to try again.
