My damn window crapped out..

yeah so I was driving around alot one night.. .and both my windows are kinda really weak like they are struggeling to go up right in the beggining in my FD. So I turn off the car, go in and get some feed, and come out again and all the sudden my passenger window stops working. both switchs, the one on the driver and the passenger side dont work.... did my window motor go kapooot? ?

its not that hard, in anycase it might be the switch, im am currently helping a friend with his door locks and windows, we think the alarm on his car crapped out and the grounding wires for everything got screwed up. double check the main window switch and the subswitchs as well as all the fuses including the ones in the engine bay! good luck

P.S. try hot wiring it, do you know of any fd's near you, hopefully you do so that you can switch parts out too see if anything is burnt out, its much faster and cheaper then just randomly buying parts to see if that fixes it.

well the driver switch for the driver window works... so I should pull apart the door and check the switch? are there specific window fuses in the engine bay? my friend was kinda farkin around with the window earlier that night b4 it crapped out. I Really dont want to take my door apart...well its not that bad as long as it isnt as bad as a Acura Vigor door. That was a bitch.

Regardless wether or not the switches are bad, spray the ends of the windows with silcone spray. This will drastically reduce the friction at the point the windows interface with the weather stripping.

That would be classic. I have noticed on my friends FD the windows are fine until about half way up then they creep up like a slug.
