Thumbs up

The Power FC and Commander can control the boost for you, so you don't have to get their boost controller unit too. If you plan on modifying or increasing the boost on your car, get the Power FC, so you don't blow the engine. I strongly recommend the PFC, it's a great unit.

Tip: DO NOT INCREASE YOUR BOOST WITHOUT AN UPGRADED ECU

They are about the same price. I think you might be able to find a better deal on the AVCR actually. Plus I hear the PFC boost kit is hard to come across. Not to mention with the AVCR you get gear sensing boost, ect. The only bad thing is it's more crap to put in you interior.

You dont need the boost controller "KIT" unless you run more than 17.5 psi. The commander can control boost up to that point. It already has 2 preset boost settings but you can dial those up or down. Also Technically you dont need to change your Map because the Map is set so the fuel will increase with more load. Thats of course within the limits of your fuel system. Anything up to 14 psi has been safely run on a stock fuel system. 12 psi is safer but with a clean fuel filter and a good fuel pump/injectors you should be ok for short spurts at 14psi. Also note that anything higher than 14 psi and your toying with death without Race gas anyway. There is no point in running higher than 16 or 17 psi on stock turbos/ stock motor. For one the turbos wont last or create any more boost and the motor wont produce much more power due to the porting restrictions. There is plenty of info on the forum and with a few hours digging you can find all of the questions already answered

There are a couple neat features the AVC-R provides that the PFC does not. (the PFC boost control unit is no longer available) The Apexi unit will allow you to change boost settings by rpm instead of just controlling the duty cycle. You could limit boost down low to help traction, and increase max boost as rpm's rise. Plus it looks cool.
