My custom vmount (Pics)

Front view. Using a modified Fluidyne to have inlet/outlet on the same side. Rad is also modded to be dual pass. Setup is fully ducted and just waiting to bolt/weld everything together and have an adjustable splitter installed. Intercooler is sized to take up most of the engine bay. I'm waiting on the couplers, etc to arrive.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm almost done - just waiting on the couplers and BOV flange to arrive.

Wow, I can live with out the AC, but need the powersteering for turning. How did you do it with out it and 10.5" wheel on the front?

the only flaw for V-mounts i think is that the fans are at risk of getting damaged by water, and rocks. Also price, other than that i want one.

That looks awesome. I love the way it looks. I plan on having a custom v-mount set up too. The guys did have me wondering about the fans though, hopefully my fans don't get damaged because I'm using the aftermarket Flex-A-Lite fans. My intercooler with be a custom twin core v-mount though, I plan on using one core per turbo(I'm currently having a custom twin turbo set up made).

Not if you engineer it to retain the undertray.

Actually, the "flaw" is that the radiator is way out near the lower edge of the nose of the car, so if you sustained a hit from going off track or hitting a hard road transition, it might be more easily damaged relative to the stock config which places the lower part of the radiator further back above the sway mounts for protection.

However, I've not heard ofanyone damaging their V-moun this way yet.

Very nice, well done. DO any of the aftermarket Vmounts have the aluminum sides like yours do?

none of the aftermarket v-mounts are ducted properly IMO. the ducted kits have all been custom made. im contemplating of putting together a kit, but it will only work for those who do not use AC. the kit would also need for a custom power steering cooler.

Looking good.

Are you going to get fresh air to the intake by means of your passenger head light (RE vented kit)?

Care to share, what the top end tank of your radiator looks like?

i have a rather sneaky way of getting air to the intake area.

i will take more pics later tonight when i finish everything up.

top end tank is similar to that of the Rotary Extreme modified Koyo.

That is some great looking work. Can you spare some words on how your adjustable splitter will work?
