my custom apexi gtr core installation. . .

well, its almost done. these are pics of the fitment process. everything is superglued together and will be welded on monday.
here are some pics of the whole intercooler

the pass. side and drivers side endtanks

these pics show the portions of doodoo sheet metal that was cut out in order to make the 2.75in intake pipes fit through

this is the cradle support that holds the intercooler at the bottom

the core and custom endtanks

with the entanks in place (lotsa tape) the whole thing just slips right in place

a view of the pass. side pipe that goes to the turbo

same thing, except on the drivers side

side view of it in place

frontal view

and i just kinda liked this picture

Wow, that looks like a lot of work. Well done.

The only negative comment I have is you should have taped a piece of cardboard over the core so you didn't bend so many fins....

haha, most of that happened when shipped. you cant really see it when looking straight at it. . . mostly just a few really small bends on the edges.

good idea though. . . next time ill have to do that. haha.

guess how much those endtanks cost me. . . . oh about 26 bucks. . . hahahaha

You cut two 3inch x4 inch metal slabs from the front ,you will crash . hehehehe That work area looks as cluttered as my mechanics after his son moved in .The design looks as if it will flow to well . With no large degree bends to slow the flow , your set up will made the power . Looks like something my mechanic whould design . hahaha You can see the custom pulleys in the pictures . That area will be open when you are finished . When you get finished I would like to get a ride .Then we will all go out to eat, even Jeremy .

haha, im so happy about this kit. . . its looking awesome. i really like how the engine bays gonna look.

Paul, it's about time you got off your lazy....

Oh wait, I was thinking of someone else

Ladies, Gent's - This man has skills. SkillS!! Why don't you look over those pictures some more and keep reminding yourselves that those endtanks came from scratch. Paul, looks good man. What more can I say? You did an awesome job on the installation and fabricating of the parts. Genius I tell you. Now get the thing started so we can get that inch thick dust off of your car

ahh thats amazing man!!! that never happens to me, I always mess things up! Im doing a whole engine rebuild and changing everything in the engine bay so we will see how many things I screw up this time. I spoke with david a few times already and we couldnt get off the phone with each other. I think I asked him about every single problem that I was confused about on my car. Im sending him my hks ss bov to inspect I hope he doesnt decide he needs 3 hahaha. I even know you have that apexi one or something twin chamber and you are getting compressor surge like me thats why im trying the ssqv

Not really a fan of FMIC, but it doesn't really matter here. I think it's great that you're doing things custom and coming up with solutions on your own - rather than relying on overpriced bolt-on setups.

Great work man.

This may be a first, ladies and gentlemen. A woman wants a guy to keep his car? You're a lucky man Paul.

But if she wants you to keep it so bad, shouldn't she sell her ring so you can afford it?
