Hey Paul,

How about a price rundown for us of the whole shibang?

I really like how if you are looking from the top, the endtanks are slanted toward the front of the car to "guide" the air into the core. Great Job Paul!

oh btw, are you going to polish any of the pipes??

Paul,
That looks great man. I'm glad yours is almost finished. I can't wait to see the beast. Now if I can ever get mine finished...haha. Give me a call if you are ever my way. Oh yeah, when did you acquire a fiance? I guess I'm a little out of the loop having been gone for 4-5 months.

Wow, very nice job man. I do have one question though, that pipe with that red mark on the bend, why didnt you make it more straight? It looks to bend more than has to. Im just wondering because the pipes look like they create really good flow, but that one bend looks like the bottleneck of the flow.
But i really do like the craftsmen, very nice...very nice
Good work.

hmm now that i look at it, it looks like that would be the only way you could do that pipe because of the a/c. But let me know the real reason.

its the power steering pulley. i wouldve made it easier, but there just isnt enough clearance to keep me happy. the pipe wouldve been waaaaaaaaaay too close to the pulley. since im using coupling down at the pipes that "peak" through the engine bay (connected to the intercooler) that bend had to happen. . . so the coupling isnt compromised. it IS the bottleneck of the system. . . but thats the ONLY bottleneck. . . as opposed to ALL the other "kits" that arent really made for efficiency.

That's awesome Paul. But you are a sissy for not getting rid of the power steering!

Nice job. Too much work for my taste though. Looked like less work than doing the v-mount though.

Anyway, are you putting the re-bar back? You should put some type of reinforcement to prevent the bumper from sagging on top.

V-mounts are not a lot of work. But Paul, your setup looks GREAT! I can't wait to see how well it performs for you. Keep us updated.

Looks great. 2 suggestion though. 1st end tanks are overkill in-regards to thickness but very easy to weld. Granted that aluminum is light but it does add to the weight. 2nd ( I would strongly suggest ) a front support brace to stiffen the front end up. I put one on mine and I think it helps a lot. Sorry no pics. I used thin wall round seamless steel tubing located in approximately the same location as the original brace. The intercooler will try to stop the front from deflecting and it will cause problems if you drive hard. By the way your end tanks look better than mine do. I used 6061 that I heat treated and rolled conically. The 6061 will harden back to original hardness after 5 to 8 months. Great job. It is nice to see someone making something instead of buying it for a change.
