Exclamation my car wont turn over at all...

my car has been running perfect for as long as ive owned it, with nothing to show a sign that anything is wrong.

ive been searching for threads already made about this issue but i cant seem to find any to help.

it was running fine and i came home for lunch. i was leaving when i started the car and nothing...

its not the battery, or the starter and its not flooded. all it does when i turn the key is *click*

what the heck is going on?!?!?

by the way....im still on my lunch break, so i need help fast!

click? could be the starter although you said its not. but if the click is loud and fro under the car the starter silenoid is working but the brushes might be bad. never had mine flood so dunno if that could be the prob. need more info man, gut under the engine and look for anything out of the ordinary. also to check if its the fuel fump put some carb cleaner in the top hose in the front of the efi(facing you) and if it sputters its the fuel pump. but the clicking still tells me starter or battery issue.

It has nothing to do with fuel if its not even turning over. This is a pretty common problem in FD's. Search "click click starting" and see what you find. Its happens to alot of us, mine turned out to be a loose starter cable.

No matter the car, if all you hear is a click when you turn the key... check the starter. An old trick I have used on MANY cars.. is to tap the starter with a hammer while someone tries to start the car.

You would be amazed what you can accomplish with a repair sledge

Wow, I just posted this very same question yesterday, and here is the answer:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/wont-start-crank-times-908404/

The key seems to be the number of relays that can cause a low voltage situation to the starter. There is a link on the thread above that explains in in more detail.

Hope it works. I ordered mine yesterday.
