Won't start/crank/ at times
I did try to do a search, but too broad a topic with too many variables.
My car's been sitting for over a year. Gassed it up, checked fluids, and started right up. In the past had occasionally done the same thing: runs fine, then after being off,, turn key, and no crank, nothing, ignition lights turn on, turbo timer turns on, it just does not crank.
I had looked at the clutch switch fix for a while and finally did it. The spring was in pieces, so I replaced it, and it worked fine, springs right out.
Today I drove it, sat for an hour, got in, turned key....nothing. I bent down to see if the spring failed so soon, but the clutch switch fix was fine. Push started it, got home, let it sit for over an hour, got in, started right up.
??starter?? What else could it possibly be??
Thanks for all potential answers.

Give this a try. I had the same issues until this weekend.
I bypassed the OEM Security Relay and also built my own booster with a 30A NO relay and a couple lengths of wire. Real easy to do.

arghx,
Thanks for the information. Here's the link:
http://www.pettitracing.com/rx7/index_ignition.htm
I called Pettit Racing today and I spoke to one of the techs, ???maybe it was Cam?? anyways, I told him about my problem which does not include the click, click, but it seemed a tried and true potential fix, hell it was even on sale!
Whoever he was, he tried to sell me on staying with the twins, saying that the single turbo's are just not that reliable, and not as fun on the street. I plan on going single turbo for reliability reasons, the extra power is just a bonus. Though $$$ makes this a not short term project.
I just want to enjoy it now till I can round up my cash, and in the mean time I hope this fixes my starting problem.

Well I ordered and got Pettits relay and put it on. I know its on right because I talked to them as I was putting it on.
Unfortunately I got in drove it, parked it, and.................no start, no crank, nothing, got push started got home, turned it off, and back on no problem...argggg!!!
Obviously my starting issue is more complex than that, and I don't expect anyone to be able to diagnose it on a forum, that is unless someone is 100% sure??.
Guess I'll use it as my excuse to get my engine ready and go single turbo.
