My car is the devil, I can't take it any more

Seriously, I've had it. New motor , new turbo, new everything. First day, Car starts up runs. Idles high, fix that problem, try to drive it and it runs like *** becouse the secondaries won't open. Next problem is all of a sudden did'nt want to start, car was super super flooded, fixed that problem yesterday. got the car running. Shut it off and started it a few more times last night, everything was fine, that was around 8pm. I go out there now 11:30am. To try and diagnose why the secondaries won't open and SAME ******* ****!! CAR won't start, guarenteed super flooded again the primaries were sent to RC for cleaning and ****, came back with a clean bill of health. I really can't deal with this **** anymore.

mods:
Power FC
to4e turbo
ported motor
1600cc secondaries
walbro fuelpump
aeromotive regulator
intake
no cat
FMIC
ect.

Although I don't have any useful input, I just want to say hang in there...If you get to the point where you can't take it and you can't solve it, take it to a pro and get it done and over with.

are you sure that the car isnt idling high anymore? cuz if that is a problem, then thats probably the cause of flooding.

Get it running and check your fuel pressure, also check and see how it holds when you turn the car off, swap the injectors with a known good set. I've heard of somewierd *** problems with injectors.

Is this whole rebuild saga new, along with the PFC?
If so, doesn't the PFC take awhile to "Learn"? It seems to me idle is rough for the first hour or so. I could be wrong but this is similar to what happened to my buddy.
Might just be a PFC tuning issue, especially with the mods you got. Patience (wish I could buy some )

Yea, save up and take it to KD. Were lucky in Dallas/Fort worth to have so many good rotary shops.

Good luck & don't give up.

I think the RC bored and cleaned injectors are the problem. The cleaning solution that RC uses thickens into a varnish like substance if you let the injectors sit for too long before install. Run some voltage through the bad boys to unstick 'em.

well I did'nt have them bored, but I did have them cleaned. They did sit for 4 months after that, the only thing is the first few days the primaries seemed fine, I drove the car allmost 40 miles, I just could'nt get on any boost due to the scondaires not opening up.

I had a RC Engineering 1200 Secondary

.....stick open and I feared I had blown my new engine. Sent it back and they fixed it right away because we could not unstick 'em; it failed in the stuck open position real good. They overnighted it back same day.

I feel your pain, brother.

and a sfar as "pros" go. I do have 2 I can go to, one about 4 miles away the other 15. the problem, like Vosko said, they are busy as hell too. And I think it's better for me to try and work this out, then to have the car sit somewhere for weeks before it can be looked at. all in all if I can't figure it out, I will have to go that route

man i have the same problem! and i never got it fixed. i have a new motor and so forth and it seems like half the time i go to start my car it is flooded...and flooded bad! i just now gave up. i towed the car to rotary performance to have them fix it. i have NO idea why it is flooding. my fuel pressure is LOW and i mean LOW 19psi of fuel and it still floods! i hate my car!!! but i hope they can fix it. hang in there i guess :-/

that and you have another 10K coming out your *** for the conversion when you just spent 10K on the ported motor and single turbo. I don't think he's wanting to do a ls1 conversion so its not an option.

lesson learned...doing a complete vehicle modification can be a real pain in the ***. It is never easy...and it is never simply plug and play.

been there done that...I kept my patience....now the car is finished and putting down the power...

everyone goes thru it.

be very very careful to not blow your ***** up....that car needs to be tuned and you are driving it around with bad injectors. you should not even be in the car driving until you get a different set in there and have the proper fuel maps in it.

I don't have too much advice for you other than to hang in there although goodfella's advice sounds good.

And a v8 conversion is a good option for some but not for those that like someone said above just dumped 10k of new no v8 compatible parts in their car.

I have heard enough about your "born-again" conversion to the LS-1 on this list and the big list. Don't you belong on torquecentral.com?

We all agree that the V-8 is a better engine but most of us do not have the resource to :

A. Spent $10K on a single turbo conversion and
B. Spend another $10K on the v-8 conversion.

Kudos to you for doing the conversion.

Even though the rotary is the devil, it's our own devil. We don't need to be liberated from the rotary or have others imposed their way of generating horse power on us (sort of like what's going on in Iraq heh heh ....).

wait...not just that...but the headaches the guy who started this thread has would be NO different if he were to do a conversion...talk about a mess....

the things wrong with your car are minor...and can be taken care of...when you get it back on the road you will be smiling from ear to ear.
