Is my car 93´or 94´ ??

Guys,

By my JDM VIN is it 93´or 94´??

I know is a Type R (which I guess is good), but I bought it as 94´and am guessing by the VIN it could be 93´??

Any pictures of the interior? There are ways to tell by looking at the USDM vin numbers, however im not sure about the JDM vin's.

I believe it is. The VIN is FD3S-2xxxx, the 2 shows it's a 94 if memory serves.

I could be wrong on this, though.

I thought that all 94's be it JDM or USDM had a pasenger airbag, this one does not unless I am mistaken about JDM FD's, if I am correct then your car is a 93, you can also tell by your Tachometer, if there are line inbetween the 1000 to 1500 increments then it is a 93 as 94's don't have those.

I think only the USDMs had a passenger side airbag with that unique dash.
I have seen a few series 7 FDs running around without it.
A Series 8 JDM FD with a passenger airbag looks like a 93 dash with a cut out for the airbag
Have a look at this Spirit R here

Makes me wonder about mine.....I was pretty convinced I had a '94 R2 until I looked at your VIN.

Mine had the suede seats from the R models, dual oil coolers. Textured gauge plastics etc.

But the VIN doesn't say "type-r", and the VIN suggests Aug 93?

I have all the original documentation that came with the car when it was sold...Only issue is...I cannot read Japanese

EDIT: Also, looking at the hatch from the underside, you can see where the R1/2 spoiler holes have been welded up (If you look closely).

I wonder what does Suspension Specs means...

Mine doesn´t have suede Seats.

Anyway I had to choose between mine and the one on the attached VIN, sold as 95 Specs. Type R is better than Type RS ??

I finally took mine because of the aftermarket parts on it, which I have not found them in detail yet...
