muffler Recommendations please

I have a blitz CB but my muffler is messed up. So I'm looking for some recommendations on a new muffler. I'm jsut gonna take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld the new one on.

I'm looking for something:
-stainless steel
-good flow (straight through and 3" inlet)
-nice tone deep tone (don't care if its loud as long as its not obnoxiously so.)
-leaning more towards dual tip but still open to singles.

Thanks for any help.

hmm how about the universal HKS Ti? You can just weld it on. Its tip is 5 mm smaller than the CF Ti, its light and looks great. I have it on an MR2.

I dont know any dual tip muffler only.

I don't know it is muffler only, but I hear alot of people like the RB muffler, it's single chamber I think with dual tips. There is the Apexi N1 dual also, really loud I here. Can't say any more than that, I have a blitz myself.

oh my god...the n1 dual is the loudest exhaust ever. you will need to modify the exhaust hangars so that the larger cannisters will not rub and thus melt the bumper.

I like the sound...but now Im on a midpipe and its just flat out obnoxious...i mean woo hooooooo!!!

haha...of course i dont get to listen to the radio much anymore! ...but then again its been winter and i couldnt anyhow so i guess its been quiet lately.

I would NEVER put the N1 on my car. I live in a fuggin' apartment building..my car is already loud enough during idle with the RB...I can hear it reverberating along the apartment walls.

I wouldn't be able to handle that loudazz fartpipe...my wife wouldn't EVER ride in my car, and my neighbors would get me kicked outta the apartment complex.

is it possible to just get the RB or M2 mufflers w/o getting the whole CB?

You can weld on aftermarket muffler to the piping but you will have to match it well. For instance, my Pettit exhast piping is to the passenger side before the oval can but the tip is centered. So I would have to get a muffler that is offest on one end and centered on the other or it may rub or even not fit. Try to match a Borla or Dynomax can and those should be quiet. Note: You may also have to reuse your old hangers.

Oh whoopsie, you are reusing your Blitz piping. Then I would look at the round racing canisters that Dynomax, Borla and Moroso make. Those should match up perfect, only be around $200 and "should" be much quieter then the Blitz. Keep in mind the round cans are louder then oval ones.

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure they only sell it as a cat-back - You can always ask them.

That said, there's not much more involved with a cat-back. It's really just a muffler with a pipe already formed & attached (in other words, it wouldn't be that much less expensive).

I had the RB single & liked it a lot.

I vote for the RB duals...little deeper and louder than stock at idle levels but roars at WOT...I love mine.

I like the way my nur-spec sounds. by the way, your 7 looks sweet. How much did the blue paint job set you back?

Wait till you open up the exhaust more with a dp or mp, if you don't have either of those - or even worse, when you go single. The pucker is LOUD. I ordered the RB dual within a week after going single. The N1 Dual and the single turbo conversion was cool for about 10 minutes.

RB is OK, good mellow tone and looks stockish. Common thought is that it's not among the most free-flowing CB, but I've never seen any hard numbers for any of the CBs. I've had the Blitz Nurspec, Apexi N1 dual, and the RB Dual. Of the three, I prefer the RB.
