moulded front plate holder for 93-95 oem bumper

trying to google this one, but can't find too much about it. I have a north american 93 and the front plate holder is more like this:

But I have seen a couple of JDM 93-95s that have a front plate holder like this:

I guess it's japan only? can anyone help me out with a part number?

I'd stick to the first one you posted. It will keep the plate safely away from the bumper and bolts underneath in the opening. The 2nd one you posted will be touching the paint and eventually case wear/scratches no matter how form fitting it seems.

Yup, we don't need front plates in Alberta so I pulled mine for a cleaner look... were some scratches there

the plate holder on the black fd is actually riveted to the bumper. they dont come off too easy. majority of the "jdm" 93 style front bumpers are like that.

But the molded one looks better, are sturdy, have full frames, won't rust, won't bend and don't catch clothing every time you walk by.

OP: I posted a thread some years back asking about these same frames. Wasn't successful either. Fortunately my state came out with a "Special Interest Vehicle" plate...only one and it's on the back. I was always going get a molded frame from a 3rd Gen. Probe at a salvage lot (also made by MAZDA and sharing other odd bits) and check the fitment but never got around to it.
