Constant threat
This is the reply I got:
Thanks for your email!
Due to the volume of e-mail we receive, it is impossible to research and answer each letter individually. We do read every letter, and appreciate your comments and suggestions. When we receive a large quantity of mail on one subject, we publish representative letters in Motor Trend magazine's monthly Letters column.
So guys, I suggest you send them a similar e-mail, as soon as possible.

I selected the MOTOR TREND EDITORS for the path.

bajaman, I think it's a good idea to contact Motor Trend, but I don't think a new thread is necessary, esp. since (as Scotty pointed out), another thread about this sticker already exists. That, and I'm not quite clear on what keeping track of who's contacted MT will actually do. Don't see a direct benefit from it...

I have this sticker on my windshield but unfortunately my windshield has a recent crack. Is there a special technique for taking off a sticker to save that the windshield repair gurus know or is it just peel it off really carefully? I'd really like to keep the original.

Nick, this is unqualified advice, but if you're REAL careful w/ a glass razor (used to remove things from glass), you MAY be able to shave it off w/o tearing it. But it takes applying a LOT of pressure and being *very* careful. And even then sometimes that's enough, and a small spot sticks, and you end up w/ a hole in the sticker That's not to mention the fact that even if you get the sticker off successfully, it'll roll up on itself, and the adhesive on the back of it will be useless. It'll be pretty hard to have the sticker cleanly lying flat, sticking to another windshield (it'll have bumps from the razor movement and adhesive that you apply to make it stick may not last very long).

I won't let go
Any sticker like that I've used windex, a NEW straight razor and patience. Spray it and let it sit for a min or so and SLOWLY start in with the razor and spray again. The ammonia will somewhat weaken the glue from the sticker and make it easy to peal.
As Ramy said it will roll. I've been successful in reapplying them to new glass though if done carefully enough. Some used car dealerships do this.
