Hey just got a 93 rx7 single turbo, big street port, I just got the motor rebuilt and im ready to put fresh oil and gear oil in, as far as those 2 things what do you guys recommend. I was told by kdr rotary to put any kind of regular oil in it for the first 500 miles but then after that its what ever i prefer.. so im curious as to what people are using and what works best also if after the 500 miles should i go to pure snthetic like amzoil or royal purple????

 

Follow your engine builder's recommendations. As for what to run after that, do a search here for previous threads. This subject has been debated/discussed alot over the years.
If rotarys are new to you, know that regular change intervals and proper viscosity are at least as important than brand names or synthetic vs. mineral.
