Question motor oil

Ok guys, I'm gonna be changing the oil and everything sometime this week, I already searched for the best oil, but they always end up "someone somewhere said use this/don't use this...blah blah blah"...

66,000 original miles, original engine and turbos...

also what type of coolant? and what is the proper ratio for mixing coolant and distilled water? thanks in advance.

Well, you're gonna get all kinds of "this oil is better" on this one... But Peter F (of course he doesn't hold much ground on this site) told me that any 'ol 10W-30 is fine. That's what I use. Well, I use Castrol... But After reading an extensive research page on lightning in a world of thunder... I'm convinced that an oil change every 2-3K miles is fine with just about any oil...

My recommendation? Use a 40% Mazda coolant, 60% distilled water mixture in the Radiator...and a 10W-30 Oil (like I said, I use Castrol)

Used Castrol 10w-30. Hated it, oil was crap after 1000 miles. Switched to Valvoline 20w-50. Got better. Switched to Valvoline 20w-50 VR-1 racing oil. Loved it. Swithched to Mobil-1 Synthetic yesterday 15w-50. Haven't taken it for a ride yet. ALWAYS USED MAZDA OIL FILTERS. Either the rx7 or miata(or is it the mx-6) oil filter.

I've noticed that mine craps out pretty early too... But I was under the impression that all the oils did this in an FD... Keep us posted on the differences in "time to crap out" between the two!!
