I love white. Not just for our cars. For some reason, white sports cars look "pure" to me. You dont see many white ones around. There is a local guy with a white vette that looks really pristine. I have had mine for over 10 years and never once regretted it.

My first RX7 was an 82 GSL (new). I had my choice of colors. I picked Renaissance Red. Loved it at first, but I was young and stupid. I later grew to hate it. Cop magnet. Faded easily. I'll never own another red car. For those same reasons, I wouldnt go with CYM. Anything bright is gonna get you tickets. White or silver are the "classiest" to me.

My preference in this order is black, titanium grey, red and white for the FD.

To those saying red fades or turns pinkish/orange it does but can most likely be put back right.

I bought a 93 Vintage Red with the stock paint job (Except for the left side) and it had never been polished, and was loaded with swirls which made the red take on an orange tint.

After proper compounding and polishing with a Dual Action (DA) Polisher, it is now almost cherry red and looks like the paint is so wet that it is dripping off.

I don't understand the Montego Blue dislike. I LOVE the color. It's a slightly different color depending on the lighting. My car is garage kept and the paint stays immaculate. The only other color combo I would want would be a Chaste White with red interior.

Another thumbs up for Montego Blue – I like the fact that it's a little stealthy (green/blue and almost black when it's dark).

My car needs to be repainted, and I'll probably stick with MB. Innocent Blue is nice too, though.

What color would you think would draw the most attention and make a buyer excited?

[QUOTE=Snook;

A big turn OFF is when you open the door and notice the jambs a different color.
This to Me reaks of a poor over all quality car.

So spend the big bucks to change color or stay factory color.

IMOO no flames intended.

Since we're speaking of paint, I've always wondered what it would cost to have a better than factory quality paint job in the original color. I know there are different levels of quality but for the most part I would think there is a general range of what a good job costs. My paint is in great shape but it still bugs me. Anybody care to share a cost for a good job with good paint?

if you just drop the car off and have them pull off all the trim, and mask properly, you'd probably be at least 6k for a PROPER paint job.

getting the body straight is the hard part, the FD exterior is thin steel

i agree with the red, but it usually polishes out...

the CYM was awesome, just because everybody saw it and KNEW that the car was a predator... although i did get a couple of tickets in it, and none in the silver jetta...

white is always nice, because it fades to white
