more Renesis info

Hey all,

Was doing some reading on past threads about the possibility of a renesis conversion. Just wondering if anyone know anything more about the engine, like will it fit with the existing engine mounts, and would it be practical to add a turbo application. will it mate up to the trans correctely ?, seeing as how it makes the same amount of stock hp w/o a turbo, the potential is exciting to say the least. Anyhow, I worked at a mazda dealership last summer and they said it wasn't SUPPOSED to come out until the late summer of 2003, so guess i'll be waiting

Nice. I think what the next generation Rx7 needs is a 20b renesis engine.

IF NOTHING ELSE, I WOULD LOVE TO GET MY HANDS ON THE RENESIS ROTORS. MAZDA HAS DONE SOME SERIOUS WEIGHT REDUCTION TO THOSE.I WONDER IF THEY WOULD BOLT INTO THE 13BREW?

You'll never see a 20B Renesis. Why? Because the renesis engine moved the exhaust ports from the rotor housing to the side housings... There isn't enough room in the side housings of a 20B to fit the exhaust ports for the middle rotor.

Lets just hope that the 2 rotor renesis doesn't require a special computer to fire it. It won't be east to do transplants if we can't run a Renesis engine with a Haltek (or equivalent)
