Nice pic. Those flames look even cooler when you are chasing Damian. I wish I had my camera running when I was chasing you through the Slalom!

Dang that was a fun run. I can't wait to do it again. I'm trying to get that track for an evening track day or two this month.

Llew.

Nice !

Same here, eagerly awaiting my Gt35/40's To go and pounce on some V8 A$$

I have a midpipe muffler, on my "uhm" race car... and sometimes when it's just warmend up and I step on it and then need to let off and downshift due to traffic, I get this pretty loud pop, like I ran over a soda can... I can't see the flame, but I did get a couple of reactions, where people either slow down, one guy almost ran into the median
Just wondering how loud, and what it sounds like when you backfire...

my backfires are not that loud, just a medium pop or a few pops, they are lower sounding than you would think ..but the flame is huge...

I also have MP.
Once in a while when I'm at WOT and I shift from 2nd to third I get this "POP" that is loud as hell. The first time it it happened it scared the **** out of me because I thought somebody shot a gun off LOL. I wasn't expecting it since all I did was change a blow off valve (my old one was leaking) and I was just testing the boost.

Damian - I remember seeing a nice flame in one of your last video's. Believe you were being chased by the red Mustang?

Always enjoy your track video's.... keep them coming

Is that actually healthy considering the gas tank would be just above??? I always wonder about that..

naw its fine, the flame is pretty far from the tank and is not constant, its only there for a millisecond, just a 'flash' on shifting and decel.

I agree, that unless you have a leak in the tank it should not play a roll, but to dismiss it like it's just for a fraction of a sec. is like saying spark plugs can't ignite gas since they fire for just a fraction of a second...

not what i ment...and the 2 conditions (flame out of exhaust vs spark in combustion chamber) are not comparable

I'd be more concerned about flames escaping through a hair-line crack or hole (exhaust leak) in the exhaust pipeline, than any flames shooting out and away from the rear of the vehicle!!
