model question

What does r-1 mean? what makes a r-1 different from other rx7's

are there any other models? I dont know jack about rx7's. any info you can give me would help. Thanks

It's short for the model number of the 3rd Generation RX-7 FD3S. The 2nd Gen RX-7's are referred to as FC's.
