Modding my bone stock FD:)
Aeromotive FPR
My brother made this great little bracket so we could utilize this perfect spot for the FPR. This location allowed us to not need any more line then I already had with the ability to easily see the gauge and make adjustments to the fuel pressure.
Just some engine bay pics
I have to add some from earlier that my laziness didn't allow me to post the past couple weeks. But this is what it looked like when I left my brothers.
Everything looks like it's going smooth
I haven't been able to get parts yet because I'm currently in Guam
I'm glad to be back home and all, but I miss my 7. But yea, just pm me your number and if at anytime I bring the 7 back to the East Coast you can check it out anytime.

Things are going very well
Here are a few pics from this weekend, which was very eventful. We were able to get it running. I have to say it was impressing how easily this motor started and ran. You would have never been able to guess it was a fresh build with how easy it was. This motor literally started up like it had been doing it for years. Banzai-Racing must have done one hell of a job building this bad boy, thanks
. I never got to hear it run in stock form, you can read the beginning if you want some history. My brother said that is was a lot loopier than before. We are both very pleased with the sound and hope that the port job helps with putting down some power when it comes to getting tuned. I'm so F-ing happy right now I don't even know what to do with myself. My brother has been the SOLE reason this is all possible and since he's on here I hope he chimes in and lets you guys know what a pain in the *** it's been for him
, thanks Greg. Tomorrow we will go through the learn idle process. Do we have to go in and set the injectors for the 1600cc secondary rail upgrade?
I'm not sure at the moment.

Looks really good when me and alyssa get back from Vegas (Shar and AJ are coming) we need to do a little meet, Shar & AJ i guess you guys are driving back to new york
lol but really, looks very clean

Wow Matt, sorry to hear that guy screwed you over. Hard to believe he'd do that to a soldier but you never know what people are capable of eh.
Looking great though, it sounds like you've had a good time going through the rebuild process. Only had to do it once so far but it's a nice feeling knowing everything came together by your own hands. I think we have a greater respect for the car when it's done as such. Gonna be keeping up with your thread now that I know it's here, can't wait to read your reaction after you get her tuned and burnin' down the asphalt.
Haha, don't tempt me Matt. I've got nothing but time and two cars to choose from.

Glad to see you guy's checking up on things and giving some feed back. It reinforces the good feeling I've got from getting things finished. I'm always down to show her off now that I'm out and about. I'm at the PX in Ft. Drum right now, no internet hear other than the store, I'll update when I get back. I should be home around the 26th this month.
Wowserz! Looks freaggin greeaattt!
I can only imagine how it feels to hear the sound of her first breath! I highly suggest though since you have a FMIC to get a dual oil cooler kit like this one (https://www.rx7club.com/fdnewbie-imports-172/gb-fdnewbie-imports-intransigent-design-single-dual-oil-cooler-kits-737946/) and what always matters in VMIC/FMIC is the duct work for it to be fully functional and always be seeing low temps. Can't wait to see you get it tuned though!

I put a stock dual oil-cooler set up on it and it does a great job keeping things cool so far. I figure for the set up I have stock duals and some modification for the radiator and I should be all set.
You better come back up, lol. Looking at our cars together makes me a little jealous I missed out. Any time you're gonna be around let me know and I'll show up. You should come up on a weekend sometime. We can go to the local "car lot" I think people would be a little surprised to see that sight. I don't know if you like Skyline's but a friend of mine has a '02 R43 V-Spec that usually goes. Well glad you were able to check out my car. Now I can't wait to get home and show it off myself, lol.

These cars bring us together, lol. I can't wait to finish nursing school so I can get to more events and start getting to track events and pretend that I know how to drive.
Hell yeah! My unit just lost our CBRNE mission "keeping" us state side and I just found out that our Battalion is deploying some MP's at some point and need medics. If I get pulled you'll be seeing another build thread. If my brother is able to convince me that we can build 4 rotor I'll do it, well the funding portion, I'm no mechanic. I'm skeptical about this difficult a task, where as he loves a challenge and is one hell of a mechanic. If I don't want to get so out of control I'll stick with a crazy built up 3 rotor. Who knows, this is all in the future either from deployment money or after I finish nursing school.

Car looks great, congratulations!
You've got the fever bad. Its great to have good help, though
I was 1/9IN Ar Ramadi 07-09, I had to call it a day after that. Now I'm livin the FD build up dream too.
Keep us posted

Nursing school sure is a pain in the ***, huh?
Yeah I do have the fever, bad, lol. I am truly lucky to have my brother helping me, cause without him my car wouldn't be what it is or mean as much as it does. Banzai-Racing built my engine for me but other than that everything else has been done by us. Granted my brother does the mechanical work but I'm always there when he does, so I can learn. Every mod I did I read about on here first. I also along the way found things I would have liked to have done, which is ok since this car will probably never see too big of power. Honestly, last summer this car was scary fast for me and it was very conservative at 374whp and ended up having multiple exhaust leaks due to warped flanges on the manifold (Jason was incredibly good with the situation and offered many excellent options to more than make up for it).
I am thinking of getting back on the dyno this spring. I'm thinking if I don't get around to water injection I'll stay around 17psi, it's now tuned to 15psi, but if I can get some water I'll shoot for 20-22psi max. I guess since a GT3582R isn't going much further and I probably would keep the boost down around town. Last year I also had a 3" straight exhaust with an Apexi N1 and now have a Borla XR-1 MP with a RB single tip CB. My biggest thing is enjoying the car personally and keeping it as reliable as possible considering it's level of modification. That is why I don't have a power goal.
I do have a plan though for the future. With my brother and some of the people he knows I plan on building something kinda big. This car is just to put a smile on my face, as well as also showing people around here that rotaries are like pibulls, it all depends on their owner. I want to do a 3 or 4 rotor in a FD, RX2, or RX3. It all depends on what I can find when I'm ready and what my brother wants to do.
I always liked cars but since owning this car I've become addicted, my DOC, the rotary. I don't know what it is but damn they're great, I just wish other people could see this also, not that I expect them to go out and buy one but not hate on those that do.
Last summer I just kept coming across people that would be like "yeah, they're ok, but they aren't reliable and break way to easily". I don't understand how people that are capable of building some decent **** with pistons can't comprehend that one, they obviously don't know **** about rotaries, and second, anything can be built well or badly. Anything half assed without a properly thought out plan or pushed to or beyond it's limits risks failure. I had a kid tell me that his friend kept blowing engines and couldn't understand that there was something obviously wrong with what he was doing. It only makes sense since other people are capable of having rotaries that don't break all the time. Unfortunately, not just with cars, if you are not open minded about **** you can sometimes miss the reality of a situation. It only makes you look ignorant to others. Not saying that I'm perfect but I try to be open minded and appreciate when people point out to me when I do this. I guess this mind set helped me to become a FD owner and for that I am thankful.

Not totally sure what you're talking about. I have a power fc, commander, and datalogit in my car and have since putting it back together. As for my future project, it won't be compatible with the build.
