Mobil One gear lube+++

well the suspense is over re my transmission. last January i started what has been a full time ( i took early retirement) stem to stern re-engineer of my already well modified FD. last spring ('02) out of the blue it popped out of 5th gear. i was really busy last summer and didn't mess w or drive the car much and never used 5th again. so Jan '03 i am taking the car all apart and after yanking the trans drainplug i was shocked to see less than 2 ounces of mobil one lube drain out. i don't do trans work and since i am close to firing up my project i sent it out for whatever was needed fearing the worst.
i just got off the phone w the trans guy and he said that he almost called me to suggest that he not completely take it apart, that it was fine except for the 5th gear shift fork and cone! (that made me especially happy as i run a short 5th gear and they are expensive.)
so my transmission had less than 2 ounces of Mobil one in it and it is only in need of a shift fork and cone.
i was sponsored by Mobil One for 6 years when i was racing SCCA nationals and absolutely love it.
thanks again Mobil One.

If you have any kids on the way may I suggest a name for a boy: Mobil. If it's a girl, maybe Mobilia

You would think a sponsor like Mobil would give you more than 2 ounces of fluid for your tranny. Some sponsors are so cheap!
