missing hose near airbox

Hi to everyone.

My first posting, so let me introduce before my question.
My name is Andreas, im living in austria, europe, and i just bought an RX7 FD from UK.

The FD was very very cheap, but no one loved it for years, this means im going to rebuild it and let it live again.

When starting the engine, it goes up to 2000 rpm, then down to 1300 rpm.
So i searched for cracked hoses and off course, i found one.

This picture is from the forum, not my car.

The cracked hose is for intake for the turbocharger, its the lower big hose which is mounted on the backside of the airbox. This hose also splits into a small hose - problem is the small hose doesnt fit somewhere, its just hanging down. Could you tell me where i should fit the small hose to?

Second question for now, at the picture, you can see from the airbox to the right side a small hose. I dont have a hose there, so airbox is open - whats missing there ? ( dont tell me its my small hose from airintake for the turbocharger... )

Thx a lot
Andi

Regarding the 2nd question:

The hose connection on the stock airbox that points toward the middle of the engine bay goes nowhere. You are probably fine without the actual hose attached.

I don't know what small hose you're talking about - the large airbox hose on the bottom goes to the primary compressor inlet elbow. I suggest you download the Factory Service Manual and dig into the details to figure out what it is your'e looking at. You can find it in the sticky thread.

it would be a lot easier to help if you could provide a picture of you're actual engine bay

Thx a lot for your help so far.

Ok, picture:

The damaged, big hose is the one going from the airbox to the primary compressor inlet elbow, ok, you can see on the picture that the small hose is going from the big hose to south, outside of the picture. The 2 small hoses, which arent connected, are clear for me, blow off preasure, which´s going back to the airbox.

So, now im only missing this small hose, splitting from the big hose.

And sry for my english, main language is german for me

The hoses that go into the airbox are the two large turbocharger intake hoses, two smaller hoses one each for the ACV and CRV. These all go into the 'back' of the airbox. There is a hose that come out of the side pointing towards the driver's side that is simply a vent hose. There is a hose to the airpump that goes in at the rear of the airbox and enters vertically. And finally, there is a hose for the EGR system that goes into the rear of the box, pretty much top and center.

So i guess my question belongs to this hose. All other hoses are connected to the airbox.
If i understood it correct, the vent hose is connected nowhere because of ventilation.

Ok, thx a lot for your help.
But i think this broken hose is not the reason because of my 1300 rpm. I have to check another time all hoses, ignition wires and more...

Thx
