Misfiring around 7000rpm

Hello people!

The car misfires at about 7000rpm, at least it feels like it. It backfires and complete loses its power, than aften half a second it continue to pull all the way to the rev limter.

Any one have any ideas?

Two things come to mind and sorta go hand in hand - you're running too rich and/or you need new plugs/plug wires. What are your mods?

Fuel cut if you have the stock ECU. I would happen to me at 9 lbs of boost or higher.

I had 5-6k hesitation from running too rich... I installed an HKS twin power ignition amp and it cleared things right up.

Try 38 lbs at idle with a rising rate regulator . Change your plugs and check your plug wires. Call Garfinkle and get a torque brace, if you are going that high in RPM.

Come on now, we gave you enough help regarding your car; do we need to do your math homework too?

Plugs are BUR7EQP and BUR9EQP stock. I replaced mine with BUR7EQ and BUR9EQ without any troubles.

BUR9EQ all the way around. im sure that the platinums are better for longetivity but copper is a better conductor. i used to work at kragen and my buddy still gives me a really great price. cant beat 2.50/plug and in stock. PLAT are like a week order and i can get them for around 8-10 bucks. just easier to go with the Cu, and dont forget to go 9"s all around.

Are you still running the stock ECU? It sounds more like a fuel cut rather then a misfire.
