Mileage
How many miles do RX-7's normally last?
How many on a built RX-7?
Any info would help or a link to a page. I couldn't find anything useful.
Thank You,
CWellman.

100 miles, 1,000 miles, 10,000, miles, 100,000 and every number in between. These cars can be super reliable great cars if you are prepared to spend the cash. Dont expect to make 500+rwhp and daily drive it and get 25 mpg, and change the oil every 3-4k miles.
A lightly modded near stock car can be super reliable, a highly modded car can be reliable with the right tune.

The question is difficult to answer as it really depends on how the car was taken care of, same goes for any vehicle. If the car was abused with mods or no mods it won't last long. I've seen plenty of 7s with less then 50k miles and had a new motor installed. If you are planning to buy a 7 I would recommend you to go see it in person and bring someone that knows about rotaries or you may get burned by a lemon. My first 7's motor blew after my first oil change, upon close inspection the car was beaten the hell out of by the previous owner and he lied his @$$ off to me about how well he took care of it.

Im just now jumping into the car scene and i have a lot to learn not only about rotories but all cars, general i know thing, but i dont know specific things is an RX7 better in your opinion to better to buy than a cheap tuner like integra or 240sx.

If you're just starting to learn about cars, the FD is a huge, maybe insurmountable, challenge. IMO, you'd be much better off with one of the other cars you mentioned.

While a healthy dose of money and realistic expectations can make this a fine car for a car newbie, unless you are really set on this exact model of car I think you will find other tuner cars will make a much more satisfying platform for you.

If you don't know much about cars, don't get a FD unless you have mountains of cash to burn. If you MUST have a rotary powered car, get a N/A FC, or even better, a FB. You can get clean examples of both for under 5k (I got my FB for $800, check out my photobucket link in my sig), both are easy to work on, and parts are vastly less expensive in comparison to FD parts. Jumping headlong into a 425whp car that weighs under 3000 pounds without much car knowledge is asking for disaster, financially and more than likely in accident damage.

+1 to both DaveW and dgessaman's comments. Not to try and run you off or make you think the RX7 is a bad car, (because it is not) but it does require a decent amount of mechanical knowledge and most "any old mechanic" either does not know how to work on the rotary or think he does and then screws it up.
The other two cars you mentioned would be a bit better "starter" cars, and if you are just now getting into the scene (and I do not mean to be offensive here) you cannot properly handle an RX7 with that much power... It is MUCH faster than a vette or most any other cars with that amount of power. I
If you really want an FD Rx7 then find a nice clean one that is close to stock, drive and enjoy.
