Mil.Spec Cat for 400hp FD?

http://www.maperformance.com/mil.spe...00cat-3.0.html

All the Subaru and Evo guys use these for race classes that require cats. They flow great and keep the stench down. I was wondering if anyone has had luck running this on their medium/high HP FDs? My car smells unbearable and without AC I am forced to keep windows down in traffic or else I will heat stroke. The kicker is the car is frequently raced (autox/track). Is this cat up to the task of bearing all the heat of a turbo rotary for a 20 min track session (worst case, highest-heat scenario)?????

Thanks!

Search my old posts using the Random Tech 3" metal substrate cat w/o air injection. I did plenty of 20-30 min track sessions on it for 3-4 years in CA's desert tracks (HOT) before installing my current SMB setup which also uses a metal substrate cat. The Random I used was a 300 cell as is the SMB.

Thats great news. I destroyed a magnaflow 300 cell but I suspect it was from running the air pump.

Do you need this cat to pass an emissions test?
