it's even harder to get laid when you're driving a beater while your FD is broken.

I'm with this guy. Keep the srt-4 and get a loan on the rx-7. I don't think you'll regret it. If you consider the costs of insurance (it'll be higher if it's primary driver), gas mileage, and repair when the rx-7 is your only car, it might make sense financially to keep the SRT-4 to drive daily and drive an rx-7 sparingly.

Plus, it's just a nice luxury to have a car to drive all the time.

And, if you ask me, SRT-4's aren't THAT bad. People might argue that neons of low build quality, but from what i've read they've done *very* well in SCCA autoX events, and the SRT-4 was particularly designed with the help of autoX drivers with that purpose in mind.

Mind you I'm not comparing it to the driving sensation of an FD, but I think it would make a fun daily driver. Plus I just love the fact that it comes from the factory with no mufflers. lol.

buy a low mileage fd,near stock as you can.Get a compression test and try to buy one from a older person.I did this on both of my fds and they have been more reliable than my (sold ,mint low mi 98 vette).
