i dunno but in my opinion, if you wanna get sometime that is really for dive in daily life. You shouldn't get FD3S, since it's fuel consuming. But if you want a speed car, FD3S is the best choice.

Dude, as much as I love these cars, there is no reason to get another one as a daily driver. There are a lot more suitable cars for that. Hell, the new Protege 5's are under 17k. Or you could just get an old Honda, and use the money you save to beef up the 7.

First off,

Could you please use some commas or periods and use somewhat correct grammer?

Getting another FD as a daily commuter car isn't a good idea. Not only is it $$ to maintain and drinks gas like I drink water, but you will be tempted to modify it etc. Same goes for the 95 M3. The price for that 95 M3 is pretty good if it's in good condition.

I recommend a honda civic for daily driving, or anything that uses regular gas and gets more than 20mph

1 money pit to 2 money pits? Just get a civic or any car that runs under 3k. That's a beater. You will regret getting 2 FD's, seems weird but trust me.

Won't insurance kill you for having 2 FD's?

Anyway, I think a 2nd FD would be a mistake for a daily driver. Don't get me wrong, it would be cool as hell but you'd save so much more money and hassle if you went with something more "economical" and "reliable" than a finicky FD.

Money is what would stop me. How do you resist the urge to mod them both?

2nd car - daily driver

Pickup truck to haul parts and possibly tow your RX-7. Although A Protege could work also (not towing though).

If you really want a rotary daily driver, get an auto RX-8. At least it would have wannabe back seats like the pickups.

I have to agree with everybody. As much as I love the 7, I would NEVER get two of them. I'm sure I would be dead of a heart attack by age 35.
Although I could never do it, getting a truck to tow it and drive everyday would be your smartest move. I personally have learned that whatever I drive has to have some *****. I drove a truck for a while when my 7 was down, and damn near went crazy. I know most of you guys are going to puke when I say this, BUT, i'm going to get a 5.0. I'm going to leave it "kind of" stock as well. I don't care if it's only running high 13's os low 14's. It will run consistently, and if it doesn't, it costs $20 to get it back there.

My choice? Fully loaded WRX wagon. Practical, fun, and hell you might even be able to tack on a towing package if that's what yer into.

Not that I have the cash on hand to make this happen. But once upon a time that was the case with the RX-7 too.

Cheers!

Hehehehe ... I just love it when people tell someone to work on their "grammer" and mispell the word "grammar." It's such a beautiful form of irony and somewhat oxymoronic.

Here's a rhetorical grammar question: How many times does "S" occur in the word "misspell?" Well, once or twice, or with a hyphen, because it's really hard to mis-spell "mispell."

Now to comment on the original post: Like everyone said, it's not a great idea. I just wonder if your self-image is so low that you need to be seen in an FD.

Actually, I don't think it's a bad idea. I guess it really depends on what you need in a dialy driver.

I'm in a similar boat right now deciding on a daily driver. I currently have a '96 Sunfire, but after winter I'm trading it in on something else. I can't decide if I want a 4-door or 2-door car. I got my wife an Audi A4 last year, so we at least have one vehicle with 4-doors.

I like having a 4-door for carrying stuff in, but if you don't worry about that, then a second stock FD for daily driving might not be a bad idea for you. Plus, I have to deal with winters here, so I will either get a fwd or awd car (thinking of a 2003 Jetta at the moment).

Yeah, Steve bought a cym a few months back. He loves having both, but keep in mind his drag FD uses 117 octane.

I have a crx as a daily driver. Unless your FD has 700 hp and is unsuitable for street use, don't get a second FD. I recommend a 90 or 91 Prelude 2.1si--fun as hell for a daily driver. My bro used to have one and that car was awesome.

I doubt you'll find one with few problems for that cheap, but if you do, go for it.

Since I'm been having huge problems looking for a TurboII, I might just get another FD or two. I drove my previous one as a daily for 2 years and had no problems.

18.9k for a '95 m3 with 35k original miles is more than a steal. My buddy got one with 35k original miles for 24k. My other buddy got a red '95 m3 with 70k miles for 18g's

You don't want to get a "cheap" rx7 for a daily driver. If nothing else you want your daily driver to be reliable, not "it only cost me 10k but it's got 150k on the original motor!!"

I'm with the rest of the people. Get a honda or equivilent and if you really have that much money laying around then mod you're FD to hell and only drive it on the weekends.
