midpipe and power fc question
Does anyone actually have the full exhaust, power FC BUT with a somewhat clean smelling exhaust? If so, is it in the power FC tuning? I want to go midpipe but the STANK can be eye watering.

I dont have any of those issues with my car. When you first start the car in the morning it can be nasty but thats usually when I have race fuel in the car. Other than that I never notice anything different.
BTW..we went on a meet last month and everyone noticed how all the rx7's exhaust stink, even stock ones. Dont know if that helps.

Also depends if the AP is still connected and pumping.
After my engine warms up (airpump working), my exhaust isn't any worse than any car built before cats werer on them. Only a mild gas smell. Turn the pump off and the smell goes up some but not that bad.
Maybe you idle is too rich.

I installed a High flow cat without hooking up the airpump. I ran it for a month. The car's exhaus tsmelled like ****. I was really bad. While, sitting at a stop light my girl friend commented, "Can you smell that? Someone's car is running like crap". I had to tell her that it was my car...
Once I had the airpump tube welded on the exhaust fumes became MUCH cleaner adn more bearable. The car also idled smoother.
