Well if your tuned correctly you shouldn't shoot flames. If you want to shoot some flamage for fun, then just richen up your fuel and retard your timing a little.

umm...i think I'm running pretty rich already accord to my af meter and o2 reading which is > .95 when I give it gas. Could it be my plugs being fouled from running rich? Also, how do you retard my timing? thanks

a/f meter sucks, u need a lambda.

you definitely need to get rid of that precat and a cat back exhaust would help also.

If you have the commander, go into the rev/rpm section and turn your decel air up 1000 rpm's or so in each area(no electrical/no ac, electrical load/no ac,electrical load/AC) and that should help your car out as far as shooting flames without messing with your map.

How about a PFC purple? Getting ready to gut my cat. Don't wanna sound too ricy, but you gotta admit, flames are kinda kool!

ouch...

I'm thinking about using spacers between the flanges, and bending the hangers a little to make my exhaust tip stick out a little more. Hopefully so that I can avoid those sorts of things..Of course, that won't help with the plugs. :P

damn...

actually I've noticed that my bumper turned a little yellow, just came back from waxing it off.

jspec: that's it? turning the decel air thingy down would only cause foul plugs and a burnt bumper? Well, I think I can sacrifice that for flamage. thanx

Anyone know where I can get one of those plates to put between the bumper and exhaust???

I don't even sweat the bumper anymore...in fact, I'm thinking about NOT getting a bumper guard because I LIKE the burnt bumper look. Kind of gives me FD character...

Decel RPM's go UP!!! That's how you get flames...and even the fouled plugs...they don't foul THAT bad...I mean we do own cars with Rotary engine's don't we!

Yep yep. That's how you get flames.

Oh, and if you get a buddy to follow you, and you top out 4th gear and let off the gas without getting out of gear....they will be starring at your flames, and your flames will last LONG enough for them to ask themselves "Damn, how long is the flame going to last?"

Let me put it to you this way......I saw flames coming out the side of the bumper from my side view mirror

what about the lower gears??? And how high do I have to rev it in order to see flames?? When I watch Option, I usually see flames coming out when they're downshifting into a corner?

i don't really know why you'd want to shoot flames. it's just another reason for a cop to stop you.

Hhmm, so if your Decel F/C (no AC/no EL) is at 1000rpm, bump it up to 2000rpm? I might try it to play around and see what it does.

Well I just tried raising it 1000rpm. It ran like complete crap around 2000rpm until it got up to temperature. It would stutter and jerk and I could smell raw fuel coming out the exhaust. My car already runs in the 11's and 10's in a wideband, so this made that worse. I couldnt see any flames, but it did pop pretty loud like usual, and it was told it blew flames before, so only time will tell. Setting it to 8000rpm though, hehe, what does it dump the whole gas tank into the exhaust at once?
