if your running a mid pipe make sure you get an upgraded ECU. the DP and MP are just pipes just make sure they are 3" and made out of stainless steel.

M2 and HKS are some of the easiest downpipes to install, and Pettit has a good resonated midpipe

From what I understand the Midpipe tends to make it so you can't hold a certain psi b/c the exhaust is too free flowing. So in effect your leaning out the A/F ratio, which can cause you to blow the motor. An updated ECU will curve this problem, by either controlling the boost or getting more fuel to the motor. Hopefully someone more knowlegadble can give you a more detailed answer.

That is a good explanation.
If you want to run a midpipe without an ECU upgrade you will need to have a boost controller than can keep your boost at stock levels.

beware of the boost spike................

i really don't have boost creep, just some spikeage (1-2) @ first, then back down to 15 psi...... i am pretty heavily modded so i don't worry to much...

One of my first mods was a boost controller (AVC-R). Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have just bought the PFC. At least I would have saved some money.

BTW...I have a solid MP. Wish I would have gotten it sooner rather than the free-flow cat. Check below for brands.

midpipes come in resonated and just a regular pipe. resonated keeps noise down, or tries...
