midpipe/downpipe install
hello all. i took my car to a mechanic today to install my mid/down pipe. he looked under the car and said it couldn't be done due to the piece comming off of the turbo going back to the rear of the car. i toold him that i could. how would u install both pieces

the extra piece is probably the air pump line that goes to the main cat. i just wired mine up to something underneath the car. if you are a little more ambitious you could remove all the air pump crap. i just didnt care that much.

Your post doesnt make much sense. You say the peice going to the rear of the car? Do you mean a hose going from the back of the engine to the main catalytic converter? Are you installing both a midpipe and a downpipe? They arent that hard to install yourself, just jack up the car, put it on stands, get a breaker bar and I think the bolts are 16mm or 14mm or something. Just soak the bolts and the rubber hangar pieces in WD40, and your probably going to need to take a breaker bar put it in position and kick it to knock the bolts lose. Then take the hose that connects to the midpipe and tie it up in there or just purchase a 300K5 or 295K5 or K4 belt and remove your air pump.
