I have the Megan Racing MP/DP combo from RX7store, very nice mandrel bent peices.
Fitment: DP matted to the stock main-cat with NO issues... the only modifications I ever performed were grinding down the DP-to-Turbo frange a bit to get the bolts on easier. The DP and MP fit together very well also.

I also bought the megan racing DP + MP combo. The downpipe to turbo setup is not the best because he welding partially covers the holes for the studs, so its hard to get the bolts to tighten all the way.
saves a lot of cash though, I think I paid about 150 for the combo and it works fine, its just a little harder to install since the welding gets in the way of the bolt holes.
overall, id say a good buy for the price.. it certainly flows as well as the other downpipes and midpipes.. its the same basic 3" piping afterall
sounds like i had the same problem as ^^^^^ however, its still a real good deal and its held up well for ~9 months

I have that combo, it's a little bit louder than stock but nothing substantial, had a lot better tone imo. RotaryweaponSe7en heard mine and he loves the sound. Of course there is a power increase, when you replace the stock restrictive precat and main cat with 3 inch free flowing pipes there is alot of difference. Cut down on temps a bit as well. My boost creep was never signicant, only jumped to 11 psi once.

Just another personal opinion on the Megan Racing DP/MP combo..
I replaced my stock system with the combo last year and everything fit together fine (I have a Borla Cat-Back instead of the stock system). I have heard of fitment issues only when keeping the stock cat, or possibly another brand midpipe.
The only problem I had with my install was a snapped turbo stud, but that was my own fault.. you can do a search to find some really good info on how to avoid that problem, my reccomendation would be heat, but others have used special lubrication with good results.
Oh, and I bought my combo from http://www.optionimports.com/ststdosetfor.html and as far as I can recollect everything went well with the transaction.
I hope this information proves useful!

Oh, and as far as performance, it seemed to me like I got some gains out of the mod, but it could have all been in my head. On another note, I have an Apex'i Power-FC installed, and I did notice a little flame-action after the install .
IMHO a boost gauge is naturally a must-have before this install is attempted, just in case.

I already have the dp and midpipe, just wanted to see if anyone wanted to get a froup buy from megan racing on these pipes. Just wanting to help everybody out. They loved the idea since they are overstocked and here is their message:
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your email and your support on our products. YES, we are very
familiar with group buy.
Here is the deal I can offer:
5 sets - 125.00 shipped
10 sets - 110.00 shipped
20 sets - 100.00 shipped
fortunately we are kind of over stock with these pipes, so I'm able to give
out a special offer for you guys. Everything is for inside the usa only.
Also, we are working on full suspension kit on the FD3S, so possible to
check if anyone is interested to try out? This is how we work new things
out, the suspension kit is MSRP around $1000-1100 per set, the first 2 sets,
we will kind of give a blow out price for $750.00 shipped, and then if
people like them, then you guys can arrange a group buy again for another
good deal.
Thank you
Calvin
