Question Midpipe=ECU

Ok I have to replace my main cat with a midpipe, because it is clogged, and I already have a intake on, I have heard people say that I will be fine running a midpipe and a intake without a ecu, but then I have heard some people say that i need a ecu if I'm going to run a midpipe, can you guys give me some advise?

ECU first, then a midpipe. Boost will bite if your not careful. Why not a high flow cat?

Well if you ONLY have intake and midpipe theny ou should be fine. You still have your very restricted downpipe and catback. If you add a catback then I'll defintely get an ECU.

You can do a high flow cat instead of mp if you want and not have to worry about anything.

no midpipe!! Causes problems with boost control. One big spike and, oops there goes your engine. You only have enough fuel to allow 14.7 psi and after that you are in lean conditions. Not good.

Is the HKS P-FCON unit any good? I haven't heard anything about it or can find any good info on it.

I'll be sticking the stock cat back on then. Well, what about a HF cat?

Mine didn't have pills, I checked the lines when I did a hose job. Someone told me that on some cars the turbos are regulated by the nipple size on the wastegates. Point well taken though.
