Mid Pipe Mod????
^ You're not really catching on. We're talking about installing a metal valve completely blocking off the mid-pipe when the high-flow cat is in use, and blocking the cat when the mid pipe is in use.

This is one of those situations that I would rather spend the extra money and not have to crawl under the car every time I wanted to switch the valve.

That would get annoying to pay him off every year. It's not always about smog testing. Some of us don't want an obnoxiously loud exhaust all the time. You get the best of both worlds with this set-up.
