yeah it will work. there was a thread similar to this a long time ago regarding fitting a Miata wheel on an FD. but the thing is...it will probably cost a rediculous amount of cash from the Mazda dealer, so going with a nice MOMO, Sparco, or Mazdaspeed wheel will probably be a better way to go, since they are about $300.

yea but they dont come with an airbag, the miata one does, and i would never replace my steering wheel to something that doesnt have an airbag

Love that interior. I was about to say something bad about the miata steer wheel but oh, I like that color.

I think the miata wheel is smaller than FD's. That would help some of the taller folks who have problem with the wheel rubbing their thighs.

I do like the perforate leather on the FD stock steering wheel though. It's got a nice feel to it.

MY friend with an MP3 has a steering wheel just like that (it's a Nardi), but with grey trim rather than blue. I am hoping to pull the 'ol switcheroo with my FD wheel one of thses days.

i actually like the stock steering wheel. With the stock dash and interior it fits it great. however if you are going for the wild interior look or customized then definately git a steering wheel to match.

I just think that the stock wheel looks a bit out-dated IMO...But it does match the whole leather feel though
